Newspaper Trivia
 

Have students find an example of 3 or 4 articles/ads in the newspaper that they find interesting.  Then, explain why that particular article/ad caught their attention. 

Examples:

-nation/world article 

-letter to the editor 

-most enertaining comic strip 

-obituary of a person you would have wanted to meet

The goal of this activity is to encourage the kids to read the newspaper and become familiar with its contents so they can become well-informed, young adults.
