The school librarian sent me a useful list of internet resources this past week.  One that caught my attention was www.pageflakes.com.  It’s a free service that lets me create a homepage for my web interests.  I then turned it into a “pagecast” that places it on the web.  I created one in just a few minutes and here is the link; http://www.pageflakes.com/Mr.Richmond .

I always have websites bookmarked for daily news/current events at the start of class and for projects.  Pageflakes organizes this content for me (and includes a feed to local news stories).  I am continuously able to add and delete content to my “pagecast” as well.

Pageflakes.com is new to me so I will be spending time learning all of its applications.  I do know that it will provide resources for my students that I can compile….keeping them from always using “google” and “wikipedia”.  This is definitely a service worth looking into!  More about pageflakes can be found below.  (from their site http://company.pageflakes.com/aboutus )
