I personally get frustrated when I am discussing a current event in class and my students cannot locate the country/region the event is taking place in, on a map. I have solved this problem by giving map quizzes using my perfect quiz technique (see 75 ideas). As with any good teacher though, I am always looking for other methods to help my students have fun and become curious about what they are learning. Greta Marie Taft from Jasper-Troupsburg Junior/Senior High, in Jasper, New York, has submitted an idea to my site that does just this. Her idea is called “Where was it made?” and is simple, fun, and I believe effective. Her idea is the “Idea of the Week” on my site.
Be sure to check out Greta’s idea and this week’s website (quiz-hub/interactive learning) at www.energizetheclassroom.com .
Happy Holidays!
