Put 5 or 6 categories on the board of topics that you are presently working on. For example, we were studying Reflexive Verbs in the Present and Past tense, the Imperative, things you do to get ready for the day, things that you use to get ready for the day, etc. Any categories will work.
Divide the class into teams. Each team should be in one row. Give each team a different color marker. One at a time a teammate will go to the board and answer one question as quickly as possible. He will then return to his team and give the marker to another teammate who in turn goes to the board and puts down an answer. (Any category)
When all the questions are answered teacher should erase incorrect answers and allow time for teams to go back to board to answer the remaining questions.
Teacher and class now go through all questions and decide if the answers are correct. If not, they are erased. The team that has the most correct answers on the board wins, and each team member gets a piece of candy or an extra credit point. It is easy to count up each team's answers because each team has a different color.
This is a good way to review the day before a test.
