| I invite graduates from our high school to speak to current seniors about life after high school. It is setup as a panel and they may be in college, working, or even the military (harder to arrange to come back to school).
The point of the panel is for recent graduates to offer advice, provide information and answer questions about life after high school.
At Sayre we have the panel address the students in English class. It could be delivered in other venues as well.
I believe that the seniors get a great deal out of it because they are hearing this information form people basically their same age. It is an excellent method to inform seniors about expectations regarding their very near futures! |
