I have seen/used the website www.wordle.net , to create a collage of vocabulary terms. Students share one word each that comes to mind at that moment, type it in, then the site creates a "word collage". Next, print it off, hang it in your room, and refer to it for the understanding/comprehension of words.
You could also use it as an attendance tool. Create a "word cloud" with student names. Take a picture or save it to your promethean board and have students circle or cross their name off if present.
