I divide the class into groups and then I give them (each group) an opportunity to pick an index card with a term and definition on it. The group sizes depend on how many terms we have to learn.
Each group then decides how they will present their term, either illustrating it or acting it out. They cannot say anything or write any numbers or letters on their illustration.
The other groups now try to figure out the term and I give bonus points or candy to the winning team.
My students really enjoy this type of review.
