Students write thank you notes to teachers that have meant something in their lives.
They have to be specific about what it is the teacher does that they enjoy or helps brighten their day.
It can be for a current or past teacher. I will mail them if outside the school and I can find their address.
Each student has to write at least one, but can write as many as they want.
When all my classes are done, I hand deliver them to the teacher with a little note about it being teacher appreciation week. I include an old email I once received about what a difference a teacher makes.
I also include the quote: "Those who can-do. Those who can do more - TEACH."
The teachers love this every year. The notes are great to pull out on a bad day.
