Spanish Proverb
 

When I taught Spanish (now an Assistant Principal), I used to post a proverb in Spanish (could be any language or subject) and students were required to explain (paraphrase) the meaning and relate it to a real-life event. 

They then would explain whether or not they agreed with it.

This activity enabled my students to learn and think outside the box.  Plus it was an excellent vocabulary warm-up!
