Mystery Score Game

Teresa Telehany

Create ascoreboard using the old library pockets, with a window cut into the front of each one (GST Boces has an Ellsion die cut for this).

Create cards that will slide down into the pocket, showing a number through the window (numbers 1-25).

Make 25 other cards with numbers from 10 to 1000.  These cards slide into each pocket behind the numbered cards.  These become the score cards and should be shuffled and change position with each new game.

Divide the students up into teams.  When a team answers a question correctly, they get to choose a number between 1 and 25.  When that card is pulled out of the pocket, the score is revealed. The scores build up throughout the game, but the lead can always change, so the students stay interested and involved.

This is a great way to review facts for a test or spend time right before vacation.
